Cybertracker Track & Sign Evaluation

€225.00

This is a two-day practical field test that emphasises open, honest dialogue and real learning. The tracks and sign of any and all species encountered in the field may be asked, whether big or small, clear or obscure. After participants give their answers, a dialogue ensues between the evaluator and participants to provide the opportunity for everyone involved to learn and for each of us to internalize the field marks used for identification.

Tracker Certifications emphasize practical tracking and the development of reliable field skills, and are unassociated with any particular philosophy or tracking school. No prior training is required to participate.
With this in mind these evaluations are easily, if not more, educational than a workshop with an added benefit that you may also have your knowledge recognised if scoring a minimum of 69%.

What is CyberTracker?

Cybertracker is a two part tracking evaluation system developed in South Africa by Louis Liebenberg. Since its conception it has spread to America and in 2012, Europe. Due to its effectiveness as a fair and representative measure of tracking ability it is also a superb educational tool. It is divided into two areas, track and sign identification and trailing (or following wildlife using track and sign and knowledge of animal behaviour). The ultimate goal is encountering the animal. These two elements are further broken down into standard and specialist levels.

Who?

These evaluations are run by John Rhyder of the Woodcraft School who is the only senior tracker in Northern Europe having scored 100% in both track and sign and trailing in specialist evaluations, the highest assessed level possible in the cybertracker system. John is also an evaluator for the CyberTracker system.
