Wildlife Trailing with Field Studies Council

31st March 2019 - 10 am

This one day workshop will take participants on a journey through Tollymore Forest Park on the trails of fallow deer who so often pass through this area. Trailing is the practise of finding & recognising fresh deer spoor in a range of substrates, with the aim of getting close to and even seeing these animals. Your tutor, an experienced tracker, will provide participants with the knowledge to recognise and hold a fresh trail.  The course is aimed at those with little or no prior experience in tracking or trailing, or those wishing to refresh their knowledge. Trailing is an amazing experience which requires you to be fully present and aware in your surroundings. The Wildlife Tracking workshop is the perfect accompaniment to this class.

This course runs from 10am to 4pm, and includes a packed lunch.
